Stephen is now part of the Smart Choice team! He brings a wealth of experience to the role: a strong sales background,meeting the needs of the customer, an understanding of building construction and a passion for Raglan. Stephen and his wife bought a beautiful spot in Upper Wainui Road, Raglan in the early 80s and built their own house. With a family of four children and 7 grandchildren, they value the importance of family.
Stephen's involvement in the Raglan community has been as chairperson on the P.T.A., Raglan Scouts, a stint working as a community patrols person, in conjunction with the N.Z Police, patrolling the streets in the small am hours. He also played rugby for a few years and is an avid surfer.
Stephen has worked in labouring jobs, in sales, becoming a Senior Account Manager for an international food distribution
company for some 20 years. He decided to give something back to the community and became a community support worker caring for intellectually handicapped. For the past 6 years he has been working for an apple exporter, as a sales executive. Amidst all this, Stephen managed to set up an iconic coffee outlet, at the popular Raglan wharf, using the very local Raglan Roast coffee beans.
